Getting from Rome Termini train station to de lellis, 15, Monteverdi?

Traveling from Naples Centrale to Rome by hi speed train. Looks as if all of the trains connect to the Termini station in Rome.

What is the best way to get to our apartment rental location, de lellis, 15, in the Moteverdi neighborhood? With light luggage/ 2 adults, mid afternoon?

Thanks.

Your apartment is only a little over a mile from the Roma Trastevere train station, and the Trenitalia website shows several high-speed (and other) trains going there from Napoli Centrale. Would that be a feasible walk for you? If not, there should be cabs.

Any idea as to the cost of the taxi from Termini to our Monteverdi address?

Is there a bus or tram that does this route?

with the link i sent above click the train icon and it will show the buses;
You have to put in to a specific time and day to get the buses to your destination from Rome Termini.
I do not recommend it if you are not use to taking public transit in a major city with light luggage

You can take the train to Tiburtina station, just after Termini, then change to a local train to Trastevere Station. From there, you can take the No 8 tram to Ravizza and it is about a 250 yard walk to the apartment.
I think it is Via Camillo de Lellis, No 5

Taxicab won’t cost more than 18€-20€.
The only other sensible option is the Bus H direction Dei Capassi from Termini to Via Gianicolense and walk 250m from the bus stop to the apartment.

"Taxicab won’t cost more than 18€-20€."

Is this the charge from the Termini train station directly to our destination?

If so, this seems like the best way to go, cutting out the time and expense to get to the Trastevere station.

The expense of the transfer from Tiburtina (or Termini, some connections allow the change there) to Trastevere is 1 EUR per person. Time can be 30 to 45 minutes. 20 EUR sounds like a reasonable taxi fare from Termini to your apartment.

Sam, what type of transfer are you referring to, from Tiburtina or Ternini? thanks

I recommend a taxi. We arrived in Termini from a cross country train from Ravenna and walked from there to our hotel on Via Cavour (near the Colosseum), carrying light luggage in the late afternoon. We had never been in Rome and were struggling with reading our map and finding the street signs to find our way. It seems like Romans don't want you to know the names of the streets radiating out from Termini! It was hot and sticky, and we were in the midst of crowds. What should have been a 15 minute walk took half an hour or more. At least it was downhill from Termini! We took a taxi all the way from the Colosseum to the Vatican Museums for 10 euros, so that might give you some idea of cost.

You are aware, I trust, that the apartment's location is nowhere near the main sites, right? On the plus side, you'll probably be the only tourists around and it will give you a feel for what life is like for 90% of Romans. Just be aware that you'll be taking the #8 tram or H bus a lot. (Remember to validate your ticket when you get on the bus.)

If I were you, I would spring for the taxi from the train station because of the luggage. Be sure to get a legit taxi from the queue in front of the train station, NOT from someone who approaches you inside.

Yes, you can take light luggage on a tram in Rome. It's easier than taking it on a bus because you don't have to step up to get into the tram.
