What is the best way to get from Padova to Riva del Garda without a car? Where do I look for train/bus schedules? If a boat is involved, how difficult is that with luggage? This would be on Tuesday, September 29 of this year. Thanks.
Train from PADOVA to ROVERETO
https://www.trenitalia.com/
Then from Rovereto FS (train station), take the B332 bus to Riva

If you prefer a boat ride (slower but maybe more relaxing and scenic) take a train from PADOVA to either PESCHIERA or DESENZANO (Trenitalia website provided above for train schedule)
Once at PESCHIERA or DESENZANO take a boat.

Right now only winter schedule is available. Download the PDF ORARI (timetables) when available, or use the online feature.
It’s a bit of a walk from the train stations above to the respective docks but doable. At worst you can take a taxi.
And the walk from the train station to the boat is down hill so easy. Sidewalks the whole way
Thank you for your advice! Roberto, I never would have thought of Rovereto. I was thinking only of the Riva side of the lake. I assume you just buy your bus ticket when you arrive in Rovereto?
