Please advise us what is the best way to get from the Naples airport to Sorrento with our luggage. Thank you.
The best way and easiest is grab a taxi or arrange for a private driver in advance.
Depending on your budget and tolerance for the Naples "big city vibe":
1) Airporter Bus from Airport to Train Station (5 euros buy ticket on the bus)
1a) Taxi from Airport to Train Station (set price into the city - probably 16 euros to train station)
2) Take the train to Sorrento (About every 30 minutes - purchase at the window 3.60 euros - Regular train 1:20 - "DD" express train about :50)
or
3) Hire a driver to Sorrento - arrange ahead of time. (I'd expect to pay between 110 - 150 euros for 2 for something like this depending on day and time)
So you can pay between 8.60 or 12 euros a person for the bus or taxi and train or around 60 euros a person for a direct transfer.
Personally I would opt for the taxi and train. Given the cost differential of the bus for 2 people and the taxi to the train station - about 6 euros or 3/each - and the convenience it's hard to argue against it.
If your budget is such that ~50/euros a person isn't a big deal versus skipping the hassle of the Naples train station then your choice should be easy.
You will also need to consider how far you need to walk in Sorrento to your hotel and whether another taxi is needed but Sorrento is small if you're staying in the city itself.
Really good Circumvesuviana train information and Sorrento 2019 train schedule if you go that way: https://www.sorrentoinsider.com/en/naples-to-sorrento-train-schedule
Have a great trip, Sorrento is wonderful,

kata,
The easiest, simplest and probably quickest method to get from Naples airport to Sorrento would be to use the Currerri Viaggi coach - https://www.curreriviaggi.it/ . This page shows the departure times - https://www.curreriviaggi.it/en/naples-airport-shuttle . The cost is about €10 PP and the trip is 1H:15M. There's no need to bother with complicated connections on that route.
Larger luggage items will be placed in the cargo hold, and carry-on items will stay with you in the passenger compartment.
Looking at the option Ken suggested after I mine I change my vote to Ken's option.
It's the simplest, probably the cheapest and nearly as fast as a private transfer without spending the extra 50 euros.
Have a great trip!
