We will be visiting Herculaneum chose this site over Pompeii. Getting train from Naples to Herculaneum but want to know if after a couple of hours were done want to go to Amalfi coast. Are there reasonable taxis at site we can hire? Will be in July

If you're headed for Sorrento, just catch the local "Circumvesuviana" train. There's one every 30 minutes. Herculaneum to Sorrento (which is the last stop) takes 50 minutes. The Herculaneum stop is called "Ercolano Scavi." Far cheaper than a taxi. If you're headed for Positano or Amalfi, take the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento and then catch a SITA bus from there.
