Getting from Florence

Hello,
I am planning a trip to Italy in September and I am having problems getting from Florence to San Gimignano and Montepulciano. We are not renting a car. I know that the train does not make stops at these two towns. The bus is my only option however, I can not seem to find a good web site for timetables.

Thanks Ron

FIRENZE SMN-MONTEPULCIANO:
Train from Firenze Santa Maria Novella to Chiusi-Chianciano (timetable below)

From Chiusi station take bus to Montepulciano (timetable below)

You can also take a bus to Siena then change to a bus to Montepulciano, however the time of travel is similar but the bus only option via Siena has fewer solutions per day.

You can't do both on the same day, unless you rent a car.

Renting a car will save you a lot of time, especially to Montepulciano, where it would take you half the time compared to using public transportation.

I wonder, what is your larger journey? Are you continuing on to Rome after Montepulciano?

By train ... Florence >> Siena >> Chiusi >> Rome
By bus ... from Siena to San Gimignano
By bus ... from Chiusi to Montepulciano
