Good day to everyone,
If any has stayed in Stresa, are there bus routes for getting around. Is there an affordable way to get around other than on foot on the land part of Stresa? I am trying to wisely pick out a hotel? Thanks in advance:)

We stayed at Hotel Primavera very central and excellent. walking is a cinch and mostly flat. some bus service but it is seasonal for scheduling. Ferries available and easily walk to. Hotel Primavera is helpful with this type of info. ck all the detail ahead of time in all european seasonal towns. you do not want to rely on an airport shuttle that doesn't operate when you are assuming it does. That happened to me in April in Stresa.

Stresa is very small. I can't imagine that you'd need any type of transit to get around town. There are scheduled boats to take you to the islands, but we had no problems walking anywhere we wanted to go in town.

Stresa is a wonderful little town. We have stayed several times at the Hotel Elena www.hotelelena.com in the heart of the town just off the main square. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite way to get around is on the lake ferry.
