Getting around Capri

We are planning to take the ferry from Sorrento to Capri. Once on Capri we would like to visit: Giardini Augusto Gardens
Anacapri, Monte Solaro - chairlift ride

What is the best mode of transportation to both locations?

If we only have time to visit one garden on Capri, which is the best one: Villa San Michele or Giardini Augusto Gardens?

Thank you!

Diana, there is only one way to reach the Augustus Gardens from the town of Capri: walk.
Here are directions from the Capri website:

To get to Anacapri, take a bus from near the piazza in Capri (town):

The chairlift is in the piazza in Anacapri:

Neither Capri or Anacapri is very big at all so I don't know why you couldn't see San Michele too; it is just a walk from the piazza in Anacapri:

It is very easy to get around Capri and you should not have any trouble visiting both gardens on the same day, as well as doing some other things. As another poster said, it is a small island.
