Can anyone recommend a car rental place for driving out of Rome to Umbria region? We have 5 people so are looking for a larger rental car. We plan on going to Venice, Pisa, and Florence from Umbria region so thought a car would be cheaper than the rail. Any comments?

We use a Hertz outlet in Parioli on Via Guido d'Arezzo. It's on public transportation and east of the Centro Storico, so easy to get to the autostrada heading to Umbria. My best advice though is to use Gemut.com for your booking. We've found them to have incredible service and rates. Just tell them your pick up location prefernece.

5 people with luggage need a minivan type. City center locations may have more selections. Rent through Autoeurope.com or gamut.com.
