We arrive at 9:05am on October 17th at Marco Polo Airport in Venice, Italy. We would like to take a private water taxi (just us) to the Hotel Arlecchino on a canal near city center.
We have read you can get a water taxi for just the two of us and get a tour on the way. Has anyone ever done this?

There is the equivalent of taxi stand for water taxis beside the airport you can follow the signs, proceed to there and take the next available one. The cost is generally around 140e from the airport into the city.
There are many services that will allow you to reserve a specific water taxi into the city. This may come at an additional charge of course.

If your hotel does not a dock they can probably direct you to the closest one. Note that in times of low or high water which docks they can use may change somewhat.
