Get your guide tour

I just booked an Academia tour through Get your Guide - seems they’re booked up everywhere else for the date I’m looking for (6/21). I have looked through past posts and see people sometimes have had good experiences and sometimes not so good -
Question: do I take my chances and hope for the best? Or cancel that tour and look for something else to do that day?
Three full non travel days in Florence and have planned duomo, boboli and accademia.
Thank you!

The David's is pretty amazing. . .If that's the only way to get in to the museum, I'd do it. I'm thinking, guessing perhaps, that you could stay after your guide is done if you want to experience it by yourself.

Seeing “David”in person is an awesome experience. On a later trip we returned and brought our grandchildren to see “David” and they were all amazed by the experience too.

Thank you! I was leaning in this direction but am feeling bolstered by your responses!
We will have our toddler in tow so not sure how much we'll get through but I so want to see the sculpture art and am hoping it works out.
Appreciate your time :)

If sculpture art is your thing don't miss the Bargello. You can see Donatello's David there along with other beautful Renaissance sculpture,
I don't think it is ever super crowded, not sure if you need to purchase tix in advance. I am thinking no.

The Academia is small, should be quite doable with a toddler. Depending on toddler's age, the sculptures of the prisoners might be fun. Child can see that the sculpture starts with a block of stone and then "Can you stand like the sculpture?" "What's the sculpture missing?". . . From my past as an Art Adventure volunteer. . .

Thank you for your encouragement! Hoping she enjoys the art. Last summer she did well in France and enjoyed the museums so hoping this year continues the trend :)
