get from the port in Savona to Historic Genoa ~ help

Our family of needs to get from the port in savanna to historic Genoa. It is not our preference to ride the bus from the cruise ship. Will taxis be waiting for passengers as they disembark? What is a fair price for a driver to take us from Savona to Genoa?

Perhaps Cruise Critic would be your best resource. Keep in mind the entire ship will be disembarking, many others also looking for cabs.

I would certainly take the train - one hour to Genoa.
