Hi everyone. Thanks for your continuing guidance. We are looking for a recommendation for a hotel in Genova - that doesn't break the bank - for 3 nights in June. Thanks! K
What is the price range you are looking for? Have you put your parameters into Booking.com to see what you might expect price wise? We could recommend hotels all day long, but putting your dates and needs into a search site is going to be more efficient and at least a place to start. Maybe find two or three that are to your liking then come back and ask for opinions on location or anything else that might be in question. If you prefer to book directly with the hotel, that’s great, but a booking site will help you narrow down choices and availability.
Here are the forum search results for Genoa+hotel for the past two years - not a frequent topic:
We had a Standard King Room at Hotel de Ville in Genoa in February 2023. Rate was 311 Euro for 3 nights back then, including breakfast. This was with a 10% Genius discount on booking.com. Location was really good; the entrance to the hotel was from the porticoes along the Port. Take an elevator up to the Reception area from street level, or alternately, there these huge wide white marble stairways you can take to get there. Very cool.
Its a short walk from the hotel into the old Town, and an equally short walk to the Port.
The room was very large and fresh. Breakfast is held in a longish elegant room with high ceilings and two huge copper ducts running along the ceiling. The Hotel building is an old Manor house from some long forgotten noble Family.
Their website shows 671 Euro for the same room (now called Superior Suite) including breakfast for 3 nights in mid June 2024.
Thank you!
