Genoa/Florence/Cinque de Terra/Venice

I need some help with my itinerary... I think I finally have it put together however I need to desperately put Venice in there somehow. The only place I think we can do that would be replacing the 2 night stay in Genoa before our cruise.. Please give me suggestions bc I am afraid of missing our cruise.. This is what I have so far.

Sept 19 – Sept 27 Barcelona - Key Sagrada Família & Park Guell Apartment 1,473

We fly from Barcelona to Genoa and spend 2 nights

Sept 27 – Sept 29 Genoa Gio&Gio little house $255

Sept 29 – Oct 6 – Cruise MSC –
Ports – Genoa
Civitavecchia – Rome
Palermo – Italy
Cagliari – Italy
Palma de Mallorca – Spain
Valencia – Spain
Marseille – France
Genoa

October 6 – Genoa to Florence (Need transportation)

Oct 6 –Oct 11 Florence Cavour37 Apartments $1,004

October 11 – We fly Genoa to Barcelona for our last 2 nights

Oct 11 – Oct 13 Barcelona Barna House Apartments $357

Any advice would be appreciated

I think that it is technically doable for you to get to Venice on September 27, but to be certain you get back in time for your cruise, I think that trying to get back to Genoa on the 29th would be stressful. This would not be a schedule I would like to make happen.

With that said, perhaps it would be safer to return to Genoa on the 28th. That leaves precious little time to spend in Venice to sightsee or shop. Why the desperation?

Consider cutting 2 nights from Barcelona and flying from there into Venice on the 25th, giving you more time in Venice and taking a train to Genoa on the 28th.

Those 2 ideas sound great however the air tickets from Barcelona to Genoa and Genoa to Barcelona are non refundable so I am kind of stuck. Therefore I have to work around that. I was thinking of doing Florence for 3 nights and putting Venice in there then from Venice to Genoa to catch the flight back to Barcelona.. Does that many any sense?

Assuming you travel to Florence on the 6th, after disembarking from your cruise, you would stay in Florence on the nights of the 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Traveling to Venice on the morning of the 9th means that you get to stay in Venice for the night of the 9th and maybe the 10th, traveling to Genoa to fly out on the 11th. That is really tight. It's your call, but cutting it that close is stress inducing to me. The alternative is one night in Venice, the 9th, traveling to Genoa on the 10th. That is a really, really short time to enjoy Venice.
