Hello. One of the stops on our March (21) cruise is Genoa. Four of us are thinking we would like to go to Portofino for a few hours. It looks like boats going over to Portofino are not running this time of year. We are wondering if you may know if there are many/any private drivers around the Genoa dock area that typically can be hired for the day.

Probably not, if you mean like the ones that hang out in the Caribbean ports hoping for customers. Do you know which dock you will arrive at? Better to book one in advance and have them waiting at arrival. You could start by looking a daytrip.com . As an alternative, you could consider taking the train to Santa Margherita Ligure and then taxi to Portofino. Trains are frequent, and much cheaper than a private hire for the day.
