We are flying into Genoa to take a cruise out of Savona. Does anyone know of a good place to stay in Genoa? What about transport to Savona - is the train the best bet?

We stayed here last Oct. Great location and price. We paid 78 euros.
This year we recommended it to a couple from Philadelphia who just returned from Genoa. They just wrote back today saying it was just what they wanted.

I travel to Genoa for business each year and I stay at the Villa Pagoda in Nervi. It's a suburb ofGenoa and is just lovely. It may be a bit more than you want to spend as you just want an overnight before your cruise.
Great hotel with great food.
