Geneva to Venice to Dolomites to Cinque Terre

Hi All, Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me. We are planning our first trip to Italy and and arriving in Geneva and heading by train to Venice and then to Cinque Terre. I would like to spend 1 night somewhere that we can see the Dolomites and experience them. Any suggestions on how to do this, and what town of stop in would be appreciated. I'm not sure if it would work to go to Venice then to Dolmites then to Cinque Terre? Or if we should do it in a different order?

There is a direct train from Geneva to Venice every morning at 7:46.
Are you also flying home from Geneva?
The Dolomites are not easy to get to by public transportation on the route you have chosen. I'd give it at least 2 nights, one half day to get there from Venice, one full day there, one full day to travel from there to the Cinque Terre.
From Venice to Ortisei (good spot in the Dolomites) take a train to verona, then a train to Bolzano, then a bus to Ortisei. When leaving, bus to Bolzano, train to Verona, train to Florence, train to La Spezia, train to your village of choice in the Cinque Terre.
