My husband and I are in Geneva, he had a business trip. We were thinking of going to Italy, because we have the chance. What is the top city or region to visit? Neither of us have ever been, and we don't know where to start. Any help would be appreciated, nothing like last minute travels.

Yep, Milan is pretty quick and worth it. If you're renting a car it's a beautiful drive. Don't know that I'd want to drive in Milan though. If you have a few days, Venice is a short train ride after that.

How many days do you have and I assume you fly out of Geneva?
