General Strike - June 20, 2025

Looking to get some help and advice! Saw a post about a general strike (https://scioperi.mit.gov.it/mit2/public/scioperi) on June 20th which happens to be the day we arrive in Rome via plane from the US. On the site above, it references: the following for June 20th: "FULL DAY - PLANE: FROM 00.00 TO 23.59". However, when I do some Googling I only see airport related strikes for June 13th which is not listed on this website (and think has since been cancelled and was moved to the 20th) but none of the websites reference an airport strike for the 20th except for the one above. I'm so confused! Can anyone tell me if there will be an airport related strike for Rome airport on June 20th and if so, is the time truly all day and how could it impact an international arrival which leaves the US on the 19th? I've seen some info online related to a previous strike about guaranteed service times (we arrived at 755a which is within that slot) and flights regardless of a strike but they speak to departures from Rome and not arrivals. Not sure if I'm reading this site correctly or know the areas being referenced. Thanks!

The June 20 strike is nationwide and it is a “General Strike” targeting rail and airline transportation throughout the country.

While the Leonardo Express train from FCO Airport into Rome is guaranteed to run even during a strike, train and domestic airline travel within Italy is likely to be a complete mess.

Guaranteed flights are listed on the Enac link at
www.TheFlightClub.it/en. Scroll down until you see “General Strike June 20. Schedules, airports and carriers Involved…”

It is likely that international flights will be cleared for landing at FCO, even during the strike. To stop incoming international flights from landing would be too damaging to the Italian travel industry.

Note that the June 13 General Strike was called off. Hopefully, at least the airline component of this one will also be canceled.

Hopefully there will be information about which flights will and won't be affected nearer the time.
the Italian Civil Aviation Authority just say this for the time being:
NOTE: during strikes there are protection time slots, from 7 to 10 and from 18 to 21, in which flights must still be carried out.
Furthermore, detailed information on the operation of your flight can be requested from the relevant airline.

Thank you both, hoping the fact that this is an international arrival plus the fact that it comes in between 7a and 10a will be to my advantage, or of course that the strike gets cancelled!
