Have had the 1370 model for about 3 months, used it 5/6 times.Quit working on me coming back from Sorrento last week about an hour and a half into the drive. Unit was plugged into the car charger and getting juice according to the unit. Charged it back up on the laptop and tested it on a trip to Vicenza a couple of days later with same results. I know there's a recall on other unit models but mine doesn't fall into it. Has anyone with this model had problems? Thanks for any info. Ron

Ron, I have a Garmin Nüvi 370, but have never experienced any problems with it. Could you elaborate on what happened when it "quit working"? ¶ You might try posting a question at * www.fixya.com/support/p1285870-garmin_nuvi_1370t_car_gps_receiver * (cut & paste the link inside the asterisks). I have seen some information that "bad code" in a firmware upgrade caused some Nüvi models to malfunction, but not sure if those invovled the 1370? ¶ You might also have a look at * www.mydigitallife.info/2009/06/09/how-to-reset-garmin-nuvi-gps-device-access-maintenance-mode/ * (again, cut & paste) but BE CAREFUL with this option as it could erase all data. It could also be a hardware problem (bad switch)? ¶ You might want to send a note to Garmin to find out if they have any suggesions. This may be a known problem? Good Luck!!!

The unit just died. Went blank and wouldn't work at all even though it was plugged into the car charger. I'm thinking it's a battery issue but will check out the links you provided.Thanks Ken. Ron
