Gardens in Sicily: Tips or Guide books?

Hi there,
I’m travelling to Sicily in 2024, and looking for suggestions and tips on great gardens to visit.

Thank you

Hi.
We visited the Orto Botanico in Palermo in May this year.
It’s at the foot of Via Lincoln, almost at the sea.
It was a relaxing stroll through, and has some interesting old glasshouses.
Also a huge succulent collection.
If you’ve been to Italy before, you will know that Italian gardens are not bursting with colour and flowers, but more about paths, greenery, often sculptures, and serene spaces.
It’s not a huge garden, but we liked it.
You can then walk down to the sea, and turn left to walk the wide walkways along the water.
I don’t know of any other gardens there, but Palermo in spring is very green wherever there are plants and trees.
In May, I kept smelling a lovely smell in a lot of the streets, which I finally figured out was orange blossom.

The communal gardens in Taormina are very pretty and offer a shady respite from the summer heat and tremendous views of the sea and coast.

That sounds terrific. We’ll be spending a few days in Taormina and I didn’t know of this garden.

Thank you
