Does anyone know anything about the garbage strike in Naples? Is it over? We are planning to go in early Novemeber but will scratch it if it is not going to be a problem.

The garbage strike in Naples has been over since mid-September. My daughter and I were in Naples for 4 nights at the end of September. Relief--no garbage.
We used Naples as a base to see Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano, and Capri. We also visited the National Archeological museum in Naples, which is amazing.
The city is noisy with horrendous traffic, but there is a lot to see there too. We were pleasantly surprised.

Hello Jennifer,
Nothing to worry about in Naples. We were there mid September. Knew about trash problem going in but saw no evidence of the collection problem. There was some smoke in the mountains (evidence of trash burning) but not enough to even ruin a picture. Relax and enjoy!
