Galleria dell Accademia Tickets

Hello fellow travelers, my family and I are headed to Florence in October and I am getting ready to purchase my tickets for the Accademia. It's been 6 years since we last visited, my question is are children 17 and younger still free, which on the website is 4 Euro tickets or is it the reduced rate. I'm not quite sure and I don't want to purchase the wrong ones. Our 2 daughters are 17, and the last time it was free except for the reservation cost. Just wanted to see if it was still the same? Thank you.

Hello.

I think that you are describing the $4 convenience fee for online tickets. All tickets purchased online include the surcharge. As you know, the website is in Italian. But you could copy/paste the gratuito text into google translate. It’ll say that Teachers are free too!
Good luck. 👍🏼

Raymond, yes, your girls will still be free and the 4-euro fee is just the reservation fee for their tickets, although I believe that can also be paid when you arrive at the museum. Still, as long as you're ordering your own tickets online then you might as well order theirs at the same time too, right?

B-ticket is the official website for tickets:

Be sure to have their passports along for proof of age, should you be asked.

We’re were in Italy last month and want to remind you to please remember to have your children’s passports with you for any reduced or free tickets. We were asked at every venue where we had purchased tickets online to show our kids passports for proof of age.
