Galleria dell'Accademia Ticket Price

Hi, I'm traveling to Europe in August. I was going to buy ticket for Galleria dell'Accademia, on http://www.b-ticket.com/b-Ticket/uffizi/info_venue_accademia.aspx#biglietti

Full price: € 8.00

Reservations Booking charge: 4 Euro

Upon checkout, the ticket came up to € 16.50

Does anyone know why this is? Also, the only option is to pickup the ticket onsite. What do I bring with me as proof of my purchase?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry, I'm confused -- are you trying to book the Last Supper in Milan or the Accademia in Florence?

Did you click on the "English language" at the bottom of the site. In either Italian or English, the "tickets" section explains that during most of this year entry includes an additional special exhibit and the admission is €16,50. This increased admission is common when museums have special exhibits going on. When I went there with an advance reservation about 18 months ago, I seem to remember I just printed out the confirmation that I received by e-mail and took it to the admission office, across the street from the main door, I think. Maybe someone else can give more precise information. It's great that they now allow non-flash photography I understand. I had to sneak one of David, and I got yelled at by the guard for that. :->(

As Larry said, the increased ticket price is because of a special exhibition at the gallery until November of 2015. So the usual € 8 ticket fee is increased to € 12,50. Add the standard €4 reservation fee and you end up with € 16,50.

"For the L’arte di Francesco exhibition (03-31-2015, 10-11-2015)
the ticket prices will be € 12,50 (full price)"

This additional ticket price applies to all; there's no lower-price option for skipping the exhibition.
