Galleria Borghese to Colosseum

What is the best way to get from Borghese to Colosseum? We're done at Borghese at 1 pm and heading to next "biggie" on Roma Pass[INVALID]Colosseum. We're not afraid of walking[INVALID]how far is it? or bus or? Thanks

You could take their subway from Borghese to the Colosseum but you would have to change lines at Roma Termini.

It's at least a half hour walk but it can be a nice walk past some nice shops and sites. You can also walk and take the metro part of the way. If you walk through the park to the via Veneto and then up the Via Veneto you'll find a metro stop there. You can take the metro to the termini, change lines and get off at the colosseum stop. If you walk you have the choice of going up the via Veneto, then taking some back streets to the trevi fountain then up the via del corso or some back streets to the colosseum or you can exit the park by the P. del popolo and walk straight up the via del corso. Sorry I can't help you with the buses but I never use them. If you have time I would suggest the walk. It really is nice, either way you go. If you're short on time consider taking a cab or the combination of walking and the metro. Donna

So you are syaing get back on metro A line, go back to Termini and then get on B line to Colosseum...we're staying close to termini so wouldn't be a problem.

Google maps is an excellent resource for the common "how far from point A to point B" questions. Good luck.

My opinion is that Rome is one of the great cities in the world (if not the best) to get out on foot and see. If you are able, get out and walk in Rome. I find this especially true in the evenings and early mornings.

Walk out the gate to the east of the Galleria Borghese, turn left on Via Pinciana and catch the 52 bus at stop PINCIANA/ALLEGRI to Piazza San Silvestro (the bus route ends here so when the bus STOPS, get off!). From there, jump on the 85 or 850 bus and get off right in front of the Colosseo. The 910 also stops at the PINCIANA/ALLEGRI stop and can take you to Roma Termini. From there, ride the B line metro two stops to the Colosseo stop. These two links can help you riding the bus or metro ***** http://tinyurl.com/rome-bus ****** http://tinyurl.com/rome-metro ******
