I have made several attempts to purchase tickets on TicketOne website for the Galleria Borghese in Rome. After I enter my credit card (a chip card) information and hit "buy now" , I continue to receive the message: "Currently, the process cannot proceed. Please try again later." I am purchasing tickets 70 days in advance but I see on the seat section diagram that tickets have already been purchased for the date and time that I'm interested in. Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately I cannot help you directly. Nine months ago we encountered the same problem but cannot remember how I resolved the problem. I think it revolved around dates - double check your dates. The galleria is closed on Monday. And the calender on their site starts on Monday. So if you think you are selecting Sunday, in fact it may be Monday. It is possible that the time slot you selected is sold out. Since the site is not selling seats, I am not sure the seat diagram means anything.

I got up at 4 am and called for my reservation. They have an option for English. Worked like a charm. I read off my credit card number in Italian and the operator complimented me on my accent. Made my day!

I had a similar problem about a year ago. It was my credit card company that was blocking the sale because it was coming from Italy. You might call them and check to see. My card company ended up calling me after I had made 3-4 tries, they unblocked it, and then told me to then go ahead to TicketOne and re-request the reservations with them on the phone. It went through that time like a charm. Good luck.
