I've searched the archives about baggage allowance on Alitalia. It seems to be on the safe side, I will take along a Rick Steves tote bag and just transfer as much as I can from my carry-on luggage to the tote. I don't want to take the chance that my carry-on won't make the weight allowance. I really don't want to be worrying about lost luggage at the start of my vacation. Has anyone recently flown this route on Alitalia and what was your experience and do you think this is a good solution to the luggage question?
