We'll be in sorrento in early may for 5 days and was wondering if anyone can recommend some fun restaurants where you walked away having loved the atmosphere.

Top of my list every year is the restaurant at Hotel il Nido! Sit on the balcony for spectacular sunset, views of the Bay of Naples at dusk and as the diamond necklace of lights begins to surround it. It's also my favorite food in Sorrento! That said, Inn Bufalito is so very different - in a great way. Ristorante Pizzeria da Gigino is great fun especially if you sit where you can watch the pizza going into and out of the oven. Trattoria da Emilia is not to be missed either! That will easily take care of the first 4 days of your visit. Now, which one to return to?

Funny the way that was put. On my last 4 1/2 week trip to Italy, the only restaurant where I ate twice was Inn Bufalito!
We also really liked the atmosphere at La Favorita (Parrucchiano).

I was actually thinking of creating another topic called something like restaurants in Sorrento that you've visited more than once, so it sounds like you read my mind!
