Full-day boat trip Sorrento to Capri with multiple swimming stops and SKIP Blue Grotto

Ciao! I’ve been researching small-group boat trips (up to 8 hours) from Sorrento to Capri. Most day tours stop at the BG (often advertised as “optional”). I’m not interested in visiting the BG (wasting time in a queue, spending extra $ to do so). I would much rather spend time along the coast swimming/snorkeling prior to visiting the island of Capri itself (~3-4 hour to explore). I found at least one tour that skips the BG, but from the reviews, it seems that the tour does not offer much time in the water. Can anyone recommend a boat trip that aligns with what I’m looking for? Many tanks in advance!

Take a look at Gianni's Boats? They're been seeing excellent reviews for years - I recommended them for a couple some years ago who reported back that they'd had a great time - and a quick browse of TA reviews turns up remarks of having plenty of time to swim. You could also check how much time you'll have when you book.

Here's the tour from Sorrento:

The note about the stop for a swim at Punta Campanella may be weather related. If the weather is REALLY bad, they'll cancel the tour altogether.

While the itinerary includes a stop at the Blue Grotto, it's optional to do the thing; pretty sure you can just spend the time swimming during the stop. Your boat can't get into it; the little rowboats that CAN access it will have to pick up passenger from your boat, or it'll have to drop them off somewhere. Anyway, contact Gianni's to verify?

No specific reqs, but I think your plan is awesome. Don't feel pressured into seeing Blue Grotto.
