We will start our trip in Venice in mid-April. Any suggestions on how to get to Puglia (Lecce) from Venice and then back to Florence? Air, train? Driving is not an option. Thank you.

Various options along with the length of time and the approximate cost are listed on the left side. Looks as if flying VCE to Brindisi is the way to go.

Fly. By train it's a long trip.
fly from Venice (VCE) to Brindisi (BDS) with AirOne, or Volotea.
Or fly from Treviso-Venice (TSF) to BDS with Ryanair.
To Florence you can fly from BDS to Pisa (PSA) with Ryanair, then train from PSA to Florence.
Or you can fly directly from Bari (BRI) to FLR with Vueling.
