I did stumble across a ~ 5 year old post titled "From Venice to Marco Polo in the Early Morning." That specific post was regarding a 7:20 flight. We will need to make a 06:35 a.m. flight from VCE to Frankfurt to the US.
If we assume arriving at check-out at least 2 hours prior to departure time - is the ATVO ACTV (04:35 AM) bus the way to go from Piazzale Roma? Or hire a private taxi? Any/All recommendation would be most appreciated!
Well a 4:30 bus isn't going to get you to the airport 2 hours before your flight. Personally, I'd stay at an airport hotel the night before and have the hotel book a taxi for 4:00-4:15.
Did you ask your lodging provider about how get to the airport at that time ?
Ask the airline at what time the airport opens and book a wheeled cab from piazzale Roma 30 minutes before. Unfortunately airport hotels are not INSIDE the airport, but only closer to it.
Stay at airport hotel as others are suggesting. Venice is a difficult place to have early flights out.
