Can someone tell me the easiest way to go from the Rome airport to the cruisse ship terminal. I am hoping thee is bus service which would probably be the cheapest form of transportation. I walk with a cane so I need to put my luggage in the vehicle and get off at the port; Its difficult for me to do a lot of waking with luggage.
I am flying into Rome the night before my cruise and I've booked a hotel room very close to the airport. The hotel shuttle bus can take me back to the airport the next morning. I'd appreciate all the help I can get.
Doesnt the cruise line offer transfers to the ship?
I thought that they would however, when I checked with them, they said they don’t offer any transport, which seems very very strange most cruise lines pick up passengers in airports, so that’s why I’m asking this question
You 'd better find some fellow travellers on cruise critic's forum and book a private shuttle.
The train is not direct and I doubt you want to change trains at Roma Trastevere station with luggage; without mentioning the 3 narrow steps to get on and off local trains.

Are you saying that you will be unable to board the port's big shuttle bus, if your cab company is not able to drive on to the pier? Do check if your particular ship uses a big cruise terminal building, so that your embarcation is more like a railroad station.
Contact a private car service named Rome Cabs. Not a regular taxi despite the name. We've used them a number of time from the airport to Rome and back and have always been pleased with the service. Send the an email with you needs and you should get a reply within 24 hours with the price and details. If they can not fill your needs, perhaps they can refer you to another company.
