How do I get from from Piazza Navona to Via del Viminale without taking a cab around 9:pm on a saturday?

did you try to punch in where you want to go in google maps? I used that for quite a few places I was going to when I was Rome. It looks like it could be maybe less than 1.5 miles just walking...I think another option could be taking whatever bus(es) go to Termini from Piazza Navona area..
I found roninrome.com had a lot of useful tips also...have a fun time!

Your best bet is the bus, probably #64. Walk out the open (non-curved) end of Piazza Navona to Corso Vittorio Emanuale II. On the far side of the street you'll find a bus stop. Take bus #64 (or #40 if it stops there) to the Via Torino stop on Via Nazionale. From there it's a short walk (one long block) to Via del Viminale.
