From Padua to first hotel on village tour

I am arriving in Padua on the train and wonder if it's best to use the tram or a bus to get to my first hotel which is the Albergo al Faglano. There are buses that stop at the Basilica of St. Anthony, which according to the map in the guide book is very near the hotel. Any advice?

Hi Donna, You will LOVE this tour! I did it 2 summers ago and I think I might do it again someday! :) We stayed at the Albergo al Fagiano as well. It is DEFINATELY near the Basilica (about 1/2 block away around the corner). So, if the bus looks convenient, go for it. Unfortunately I can't be more specific b/c I took a taxi from the Padua bus station with 3 other tour members (we happened to meet up at the Venice airport and took the bus together from there to the Padua bus station). I honestly can't remember how much the taxi cost for the four of us, but maybe you might consider a taxi instead?!?! Something to think about anyway. Hope this helps a little! :) ENJOY!

Donna, when is your tour taking place? Your tour information packet will have all the information for getting to your first Hotel. The Hotel recommends using the Bus on their website, but I usually take a Taxi when I arrive in a new city. That looks like a NICE Hotel!
