According to the hotel website, it suggests: taking the Alilaguna Arancio shuttle service between the airport and Venice. Get off at the Sant’Angelo landing stage. From there, just a short walk in the direction of the La Fenice Theatre and you come to our hotel. For detailed instructions on how to reach the hotel from Sant’Angelo, see the section “From the Sant’Angelo water bus landing stage”.

The only problem with going there by Alilaguna is the you have to use the awful Alilaguna. I did it once, never again. I did not enjoy the low position in the boat, the small high-up windows covered in salt so the view was little to nothing as we went along, and it was nowhere as much fun as a vaporetto.

I'd personally take the bus to P.le Roma and then the number 1 vaporetto (starts at P.le Roma) for 9 stops down the Grand Canal. Scenery and transportation all in one.

Cheaper, too, especially if you have the vaporetto pass for as many days as you will be there (sold in hours, not days so even better). Then there's no marginal cost for that boat.

We also used the bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma and connected with a vaporetto. Also, we obtained a three day inclusive Venice pass, which included the bus and vaporetto transportation. I do not know if these passes are still available, but they were most useful.

There are three ways to get from the airport to your hotel. The 1st (and best) is a water taxi but it is the most expensive. If you can join up with another couple or two it might be worth it. There is a shared water taxi system now but we haven't use it and can't comment.

Another way, and the next least expensive is the Alilaguna boat. It takes longer and you probably will not be able to get a "non stop" line to the area of your hotel.

The final and least expensive is a combination bus and vaporetto (vap.). It takes a bit longer, but that is what we do because we travel very light with just one carry on apiece. There are two bus lines that serve the airport. One is ATVO and is NOT affiliated with the vap. system. The other is ACTV and IS affiliated with the vap. system. At the airport you can get a vap. pass for various periods from 24 to 72 (or more?) hours. You can have a one way or two way bus fare added to the vap. pass. There is a good site maintained by the ACTV system that has current prices and etc.. Don't remember the url so just Google it.

If you decide on option # 3, take the # 5 ACTV bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma. Be sure and validate the vap. pass on the bus. Do not wait until you get on the vap. Also, validate the pass each time you use the vap. Then take to the # 1 vap. to the S. Angelo stop which appears to be the closest to your hotel. Your stop is on the left side of the canal after the S. Silvestre stop on the right side of the canal. We've done option # 3 many times. Easy Peasy and cheap to boot.

If you go to google maps and use the street view feature you can probably "walk" from the vap. stop to the hotel before you ever leave home.

There is a site called veniceforvisitors.com that has a lot of good info. that you might want to check out .
