I need to catch a train from Genoa to Moneglia for a trip in cinque terre.
It looks like the best times for me (I arrive at 10:30 am at airport) are from the piazza principe station.
What is the best way to get to this train station?
Taxis look expensive! I am a solo traveler.
Also wondering if I should buy ticket in advance. My trip is October 5.

There is an Volabus that circulates between the airport and the 2 main train stations.

There is also a shuttle to nearby airport train station with regional trains to Piazza Principe. See Airlink+Train above
A train to Genoa to the CT is likely to be a regional train that does not need to be booked. There are a few IC trains to Monterosso for continuing connection by regional train to other villages. Even the IC train does not have to be booked in advance as there is not much discount for Economy and Super Economy tickets over a relatively short distance.
