In June I'm going from Paris to meet a friend In Italy for a two week tour.My girlfriend is flying in from the states. If I took the overnight train to Chamonix then the gondola over the Alps to Italy, she and I could meet in Milan? Does anybody have thoughts on this plan? or should I fly to Milan to meet her?? Are there Alpine villages on this mount Blanc that are worth the train trip?

We are trying to do the same thing, leaving Paris on June 4th. Have you figured it out yet?

I'm not sure what you mean by "best," but it sounds like a heck of a lot of fun.
Probably not the quickest or cheapest, though.

Michelle - If you're still trying to get your questioned answered, you might start your own thread with more detail about when you'll be hoping to make the trip and in which direction.
Starting with a five-month old question could cause some confusion because people might try to answer Audrey's details.
