From airport to Barbarini Metro stop

We will arrive in Rome at Fiumicino airport and are staying near the Barberini Metro stop. Should we just get train tickets when we arrive, how available are they, and do we need to validate tickets and where do we do that?
I guess it will be the Leonardo Express to Termini then the Metro A line to Barberini but just wanted any additional info because we will be tired on arrival.

Get your LE tix when you arrive
No need to worry about availability-there are many many trains per day

From Termini you could just take a cab-shouldn’t be more than 8 euros?

Be sure to go to official taxi rank in front of terminal

I second the suggestion to take a cab from Termini after taking the Leonardo Express. I wouldn't want to deal with luggage on the Metro.
Or, you can always take a taxi from airport directly to your hotel - it will be 50 euro. I consider it money well spent, especially after a long overnight flight. Enjoy Rome, it's wonderful!

Thanks! This is helpful cause I wasn’t thinking about the luggage being a problem as we have taken lots of trains in England and Spain but maybe Italy’s Metro makes luggage more difficult.

It’s just good to consider that option.
Do the taxi’s have a set price they follow?
Are they set up for tap and pay credit cards?

Hi
I understand that legally all cabs have to accept credit cards including tap and party.

Have a great time.

Kathy has the best idea.

Don't know how many 'we' is, but the Leonardo Express plus another paid transport and whatever 'savings' you might reap are minuscule compared to the the bother and extra time spent

If your hotel is in the central city area -- sometimes referred to as within the walls, the taxi price is fixed at 50 euro for four people and luggage. You could be charged a couple of extra euro if you have excessive amount of luggage. Your savings would be small by taking the train and taxi so just take the taxi from the airport. They are required to take c cards -- BUT --- sometimes (wink, wink) the c card machine is broken. SO ask before getting in. And cash still works.
