Friends of uffizi pass compared to Firenze pass

We've read the latest Rick Steves pocket Florence where he mentions the Firenze pass for museums. How does this compare to the Friends of the Uffizi pass which is not mentioned in either of Rick's books on italy? Any info would be helpful. John

Hi,
For 60 euro per person, or 100 euro for a family, the Friends of the Uffizi card allows you to enter all of the Polo Museale Museums for one year on an unlimited basis. However, the Friends of Uffizi card may not be such a deal beginning April 1, 2015. The Bargello, the Accademia, and Palazzo Pitti may not be participants. It is still up in the air if they will be participating museums and no final decision has been made. However, the Uffizi will be a guaranteed museum.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a pass that is a better deal than the Firenze or Friends of Uffizi?
