Freya's Florence Tours

This company is not listed in Rick's 2017 book. I am looking into his suggested guides and in addition, I am wondering if anyone has used Freya's company. Thank you

My friends and I (6 women) took three tours with Freya's Florence last summer. One was dreadful and two were the best tours I took all summer (10 total). It all depends on the guide of course. The first guide was American, long time Florence resident. She made it very clear to us that she was an artist, not a tour guide, then hauled off and moved so fast that when we stopped to take pictures, she was gone. Then she said derogatory stuff about us not keeping up over the active headset. There are more stories but I'll stop there. PM me if you want her name. The other guide was a native of Florence with perfect English who just loved her city and seemed to love guiding people through it. We had two tours with her and she was so delightful, friendly, gave great tips for restaurants and shops and really knew her art history.

I provided feedback on both guides to Freya. Don't know what she did about it, but she did say no one had ever complained about the first guide before. We didn't meet Freya.

Short story, I would book with Freya's again and request the guide we had for our second and third tours. We all adored her. And the nice thing was, because the tours were private, we were met at our apartment by both the tour guide and the headset supplier, always right on time.
