Free things to do in Rome

I found this page of "free things to do in Rome" while trying to find the answer to if the Vatican is free during cultural week. I haven't found an answer to that yet but the last Sunday of each month the museums are free, also there is a "white" night in September that museums are open all night and waive the fee. Wow, that would take care of your staying awake if you arrive late afternoon and want to stay up for get acclimated to the time.

I love Googling subjects. I find so many other interesting information.

I was there accidentally on White night a few years ago (eg. was in Rome having no idea it was that nite when I planned our trip). What a fun time!!! Many of the major streets were blocked off, bands were playing, just an amazing and fun time!

You will also find by walking, many small fountains, carvings and neat little touches here and there. Also of course, nearly all churches are free and well worth a quick duck inside. Even the plainest looking building can house a wonder and multiple works of art.
