Anyone know how this will work? I'm trying to get a reservation to see David in Florence and that whole week is grayed out - will we have to just go and wait in line? I also already made a reservation for Galleria Borghese in Rome, do you think they will refund my payment? I read an article from another post, but it doesn't really mention the actual logistics of how it will work. Since we are only going to Florence for a day trip from Rome, I'm not sure if we will go anymore - not worth it to travel that far to just stand in lines all day. Any thoughts/advice would be helpful!
How many total days will you have in Rome if you do not make the side-trip to Florence? For most of us, travel is about trade-offs. It's not just the time spent in line in Florence (and the time on the train to and from Florence); it's what you could have been doing in Rome instead, especially if your trip is short.
We will be there 7 entire days and this is our 2nd trip to Rome (first time we only had 2.5 days so we did Vatican Museums and the Colosseum/Roman Forum and that was about it). Planning on trying to take it slower this time.
Aah, then trying to see Florence makes sense, though I'd wouldn't want to do it on a day-trip, just because there's so much to enjoy there.
It doesn't look like even some of the 3rd-party ticketers know how this will work yet.

Well, I guess I either picked a really bad week, or a really good one! We will see.
