Can anyone give me directions from the train station to Fraterna Domus Monastary. I would prefer written directions rather than a map. Is it within walking distance or do we need to take a bus? Has anyone stayed there? It seems to be quite central for sightseeing in Rome.
You can get written direction on mapquest, goggleearth, and bing maps. Just go to one of them and plug in beginning and ending locations.
It appears to me that they have several different locations in Rome. Which one will you be staying at? Assuming it's the one at Vicolo del Leonetto 16, a quick look at a map (sorry) will show you that it's too far to walk from the train station for most people, especially with bags. I searched on the Rome public transit website, and see that there is no direct bus or subway line to get you there. You would need to do a combination of two buses or a subway/bus to get there. Far simpler IMHO would be to pay the roughly 12 Euros to a taxi to take you right there from the Termini train station, if that's in your budget.
It is via Monte Brianzo.
