Frari Church - Advanced Reservations?

Ciao!

We leave for Venice in two weeks - my first time! On the top of my list is to visit Frari Church. However, I can't seem to find consistent information about the best way to gain entry to the church. I'm hoping some folks here may know. I can't tell if it's included in the Chorus Pass or not. On Venzia Unica website I don't see it listed as one of the churches for the Chorus Pass. And yet I found a an option from HelloTickets that says it is included in the Chorus Pass (and theirs is a skip the line type ticket - though I'm not familiar with that company so not sure if they're legit). https://www.hellotickets.com/italy/venice/chorus-pass/a/pa-1738

Or perhaps a skip the line type ticket not necessary for the Frari Church? We're not interested in going into a bunch of churches so it's not the Chorus Pass I'm after....it's really making sure I don't miss Frari :-)

thanks in advance!

I’ve never bought a ticket in advance, just go to the door and pay the admission - it was only a few Euros, senior rate, as I recall.

We will be in Venice in September. My impression is that an advanced reservation for Frari is not necessary. I have read in the RS guide that the chorus pass is not a good value for most tourists. That said, sometimes the passes are more beneficial in terms of skipping ticket purchase lines than for cost savings. I don't believe Frari is on the chorus pass, anyway. This is the link for what RS says is the official chorus pass website. https://chorusvenezia.org/chiese/

Looking at several websites I see an admission charge of 3-5 euros, and no reference to timed entry or needing to skip a line. I don't think the place is that crowded, though I agree that it's a great sight. Some of the websites I visited said it was covered by the Chorus Pass, some didn't mention that.

I suggest that you just show up and pay a few euros to get in. I had no problem, though my visit was several years ago.

We were in Venice last month and visited the Frari church. Not crowded, no need for reservations, just pay small entry fee at the door. Enjoy!

Two years ago, I just walked into Frari, bought a ticket at the counter and wandered around. Forgot all about RS app Frari walking tour.

The official link above for the chorus pass has a list of included churches and it does not include Frari Church

I have never seen a line for the Frari longer than several minutes max.
The bar Al Archivo just over the bridge in front of the Frari is a favourite of mine.
To the left of the Frari, the shop Legatoria Poliero sells a great variety of paper products, picture frames, little boxes and so on.

We just visited Frari Church two weeks ago. No advance ticket necessary. We walked right in -- no line at all. It was very quiet and very chill there. Peaceful and no crowds.

Thanks WrenG. It sounds wonderful, peaceful and chill will be just what we need by the time we get to Florence!

In the Frari, left hand side, towards the front (past the monument with the four bulging eyed black gentlemen, you will find a small bomb mounted on the wall. It fell on the Frari in, I think, 1917, failed to detonate.

Who believes in miracles?

Maybe I do.
