Francesco's Italy: Videos of Italy by an Italian (Episodes 1 and 2)

In 2006 Italian architect Francesco da Mosto hosted a BBC series in which he traveled his whole country from "top to toe". It's all posted on You Tube. It's a wonderful immersion into laid-back Italian travel. There are 4 episodes, each divided into six 10-minute parts. Below are the links to episodes 1 and 2. Due to message size limits, I'll put links for episodes 3 and 4 on a different post. (Note: You Tube has an "expand to full screen" button in the lower right corner of the video viewer. You may want to use that to make things bigger.)

Episode 1 (The Romantic North)

Episode 1 Part 1: Padua

Episode 1 Part 2: Vicenza, Verona

Episode 1 Part 3: Ferrara, Bologna

Episode 1 Part 4: Mantua, Milan

Episode 1 Part 5: Milan, Turin

Episode 1 Part 6: Turin, Portofino

Episode 2 (Tuscany/Umbria)

Episode 1 Part 1: Urbino, Assisi

Episode 1 Part 2: Assisi, Orvieto

Episode 1 Part 3: Val D'Orcia, San Gimignano, Siena

Episode 1 Part 4: Siena, Lucca

Episode 1 Part 5: Lucca, Florence

Episode 1 Part 6: Florence (and Maggie Smith)

Thank you for posting the link. I saw the series also - but I know I will love seeing it again and again. I'm off to Rick Steves Village Italy tour in September and know I will enjoy the series as a bit of preparation.
Thanks,
Frances
