I posted an earlier question concerning going from Lyon to the Cinque Terre area.
With four or five more days to spend, I wondered what the best use of our time would be. In order to eliminate some travel time, I am now considering training to the Burgundy area from Lyon and spending three days in the area driving to some of the towns in the region. From there we could train to Paris for a few days and fly out of Paris to home. What are the thoughts of some of your travelers on this travel plan?
Sounds good. From Lyon to the Cinque Terre a lot of time would be wasted on the (rail)road. You should however post this question in the "To the West" section of the travelers' Helpline, where France questions are posted. You would get more responses from experts on France there. This section is devoted to Italy (the boot).
