I recently sent off an email inquiring about reserving a room to Frana Maria rooms ([email protected]). I received a reply with an offer. I responded on 3/28, accepting the offer. Here's the problem - I have not received a confirmation back yet. I've followed up twice since then, with no luck (the 2nd time I sent the email to all 3 email addresses that are listed on their home page). Does anyone know if there is some issue with these folks? Scott, I stayed there with two friends last April. They do not speak the best English, and I think their email responses were sometimes slow - but your response was over a month ago - which seems like a really long time to me. I'd give it another week or two and then maybe move on. (but be sure to send them an email stating that you will not be staying there). We stayed in Room 7. Not the newest place, but fabulous location and would definitely stay there again. If you are able to stay in Vernazza, I highly recommend eating breakfast (or anything else) at Il Pirata (sp?). It's up the hill past the train station (only about a 5 min walk from hotel). Fabulous homemade pastries and owners (brothers) are very fun! I have since read other reviews that their other food is great as well. Have a great time!
