I'm wondering if anyone has been to either the Forum of Augustus or Forum of Caesar night show and if so, how did you like it?
I'm actually not even sure these shows are still an option as i just checked the website viaggioneifori.it , and it says tickets aren't available for any date.
Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks for your help!
We were by there recently - there is a major upgrade effort underway at the Imperial forums - supposedly they are adding facilities for additional public access. Our guide at the Colosseum said that they were developing the site as another tourist attraction to take some of the pressure off of the Colosseum, which has seen explosive growth in demand.
My husband went in 2019 and loved it-I don't remember which one. I was unable to go because I had taken a day tour(operator was Green Line Tours and I also didn't like the guide) that got back several hours late and I don't remember any compelling reason that that happened.
Thank you for the info! Very helpful.
I'll keep checking to see if the project is completed by June when we head to Rome.
We went years ago when it opened (2015, I think) and thought both very well executed. I’d go again. Not open all year round. I believe April thru October.
Thanks for the feedback on the shows. Definitely going to put it on the to-do list for Rome and hope the renovations are done by our trip in June. Thanks again, everyone!
Big curious ... what can be expected at the "night shows"? I'll assume entertainment of some forum.
GoWest,
The following website and the RS Best of Italy provides a good description of them.

Hope that helps
