My partner arrives in Naples before me and would like a place to stay for 3 nights in Sorrento, Positano or near there in another lovely town. He needs it for June 6, 7th and 8th. Any ideas of places you have loved? or know about?

I stayed at Surriento Suites in Sorrento in the Marina Piccola section (by the ferry dock) and it was lovely. It's a bed and breakfast with 3 rooms. You can find it on Trip Advisor and see if it is booked.

Sorrento Flats. Good breakfasts, great location. Not "charming" but clean and modern.

Positano - Hotel California - lovely views from the breakfast terrace and just steps from the bus stop.
Sorrento - Hotel Minerva - the best balcony in Sorrento and you can walk the sidewalk right into town day or night.
Take a look at Villa Monica B&B ([email protected]) and Ulisse ([email protected]) in Sorrento. The latter is right in town and although it is billed as a hostel, it looks like a wonderful hotel.
The rest of my short list are more expensive.

My wife and I stayed at the Residince Alcione in Positano for 5 nights and I strongly recommend it, we had a balcony which you could see everything, it was great having brekkie on the balcony in the morning with blue skies and the beach and shops just below us.
