Food Tours or Cooking Classes

We're traveling in May and are interested in any food tours and/or cooking classes in either Tuscany (we're staying in Montepulciano and will have a car) or Rome. Our dilemma is that we don't drink alcohol. We obviously don't mind if others around us drink! We'd prefer to stick to tours and/or classes that are more about the food than the wine.

Thank you so much.

A few years ago, while in Rome, we took Eating Italy's Twilight Trastevere walking food tour. It was excellent. Only one stop was based on wine. The rest was all food based. We had plenty to eat with a wide variety.

We did the same tour as Joyce. We don't drink either, and highly enjoyed this tour. Wine was offered at several of the stops, but only one stop was based on wine, and it was in a historical (ancient rome) wine cellar, and they had food as well. Wonderful tour, and highly recommended. The tour was very accommodating and offered us soft drinks or water, with gas or without (sparkling or flat) instead at each stop that had drinks.

They also offer tours in Florence, which I am looking at for our next trip.

I took the food tour through The Roman Guy (recommended by RS - and a 10% discount) and really enjoyed it. There was plenty of wine to accompany the food, but it was optional. Lots to eat.

You can look at getyourguide.com lots of different classes, tours to see what suits you and get ideas. Your host in Tuscany probably has info, just ask. Some even offer cooking classes. A friend told me about toscanamia.net Two sisters/or mom daughter offer cooking classes (one day to a week) with accommodations.
A friend did the eatingitalyfoodtours and loved it, both in Rome and Florence. Happy travels

Thank you all so much. We looked into all these options that you mentioned and decided on Eating Italy's "Twilight Travestere" tour. We're looking forward to it!

I'm jealous! Bring an empty stomach. You WILL get more than enough to eat!
