Can anyone recommend food tours near Siena. We love olive oil, prosciutto and cheese - we like wine too, but we like to eat more than we like to drink, but of course we could do both. Any "zero kilometer" recommendations, that Cameron Hewitt talked about.
Thank you again,
Denise
We just returned from two weeks in Italy and stayed in Siena for two nights. We did a one day tour with Tours by Roberto (recommended by this website) and it was fantastic. Stopped in Montepulciano and Pienza and then had a multi course lunch at a farm that produces pasta, olive oil and wine.
Thank you for your reply, what was the name of the farm you stopped at outside Siena. Thank you!
Denise
Hi, I do not know the name of the farm. But it was operated by Roberto's brother! You might be able to find out from Roberto and company.
I really enjoyed the "Savor Siena" tour I did a couple of years ago with the Tuscan Wine School, which is a walking and food tour right in Siena. We tasted some fantastic local specialties and our tour guide led both a wine and olive oil tasting:

It looks like they also offer tours out into the countryside. Some are focused on wine but this one to Pienza and Montepulciano sounds like it may be of more interest to you as it includes lunch on a farm:

Remembered I took a picture of an olive oil bottle from the farm. Website is madonabella.com.
We went with Tours by Roberto and had a wonderful time! Thank you!
